    Details: Charging a skill does not keep you in combat mode - you will still exit combat mode unless you take damage or actually use a skill / attack.
    Steps to Reproduce: Be out of combat and let an enemy attack you with auto-attack off, or while facing away (camera) from the attacker. Start charging a skill and unless you take damage or use the skill or auto-attack - you leave combat and just wasted time charging that skill. See video here.
