Chat gone? (monday 4/21/14)

Is chat gone for everyone or just me?

 

It is still there. On it right now.

 

I just logged in as well. Are you connecting through a client or through the SotA website?

 

At various times in the past, the website client hasn't worked for me at all, so I've just logged in through an app or another web client.

Every time I've done it, the channel's been fully operating for everyone else; it just craps out, from time to time, for no apparent reason, for some people.

Website. It loads the page like normal but the chat element never seems to load.

I am trying some things from this side (disabling extensions, different browser, clearing cookies, etc) will report back if I find out why it happened.

Firefox is letting me in, chrome is not. Will update if I figure out why.

 

Just do what I do (mentioned in the post above yours); open it in an alternate web client or an app.

Then when you try the site in a day or two from now, it will work like nothing was ever wrong.

 

Yup, it let me in via Firefox... chrome still never loading the chat... I wish I could just let it go, but there is a mystery afoot!

With as often as chrome is updated, I would not be surprised if it's a chrome issue.

 

I'm in Chrome, too, and I've long suspected it's the culprit. But, as I say, you will try in another day or two, and it will work fine and be all, "Whaddaya mean I never work? I work great! I'm Chrome!"
