    I have read that for next release detachable chat tabs are on the plan.

    How about a notification option that shows a number of unread content for a particular tab?

    Somewhat like this:

    And make it pulsate or something to draw attention ;)

    Optional sound effect would also be nice when receiving personal messages.

    Can't put enough likes on this. A little "ping" of some kind would be awesome when a direct message/whisper comes in... otherwise things get lost in the text window!

    QUESTION: I am a Viking to the bone, I realize there is new garb coming out in the next update for Norgard guards. When will you bring more Items Viking based, Like Viking Ale, Small tabbed barrels of Ale for our Taverns, Sexier Viking sheilds, and a possible Viking based Platemail armor.More Viking hair and beard options, tattooing??

    @Chris I still would like to see the number of unread messages for certain tabs, me and everyone I asked in my guild prefers that vs. having several separate chat windows on the screen.

    Is there a way to completely turn off chat notifications or the chat at all?

    Yes, click the gear settings button in the chat box and uncheck everything. I believe that should stop anything from popping there so it will never show up.

    In addition, you can auto-hide the chat window in that same menu. If you aren't getting messages, it will stay hidden(unless you press the Enter key.)
