I have done a little pre-work and have a pretty good idea of what I want and would really appreciate if someone can help me get this created.

After playing with the Blazon builder, I'm interested in something like this:

Field: per chevron(line), sable and argent
    Ordinaries
    a bordure(line) argent(var.)
    Charges
    Layout: (direction)
    scales argent(var.)mullet sanguine(var.)

Which comes out looking like this image.

The scales and mullet are placeholders for other images. Here is where I think it gets a little more complicated. The charge I want to use in place of scales is my current avatar image, also shown below:

This image is a likeness of the Ultimate Warrior (former WWE wrestler, now deceased) logo, but there are many variations of the logo floating around. I am fairly certain there is not a WWE trademark on the logo, but I don't know whether the image is still ok to use. It may have been on the Ultimate Warrior's personal website at one time, but I can't find any sign of this particular image.

If this is ok to use, I would like it approximately where the scales are in my example.

Then where the red star is, I am thinking maybe some crossed swords or daggers to fit into chevron.

Does that sound do-able? If so, is there anyone willing to help create this? I will allow for you to take some artistic liberties if you think something else looks better. Thanks in advance and also thanks to everyone in the #CollegeOfArms chat who helped point me in the right direction to get started.

The image is trademarked by his family.

Ok, so I'm a hack, but here I've simulated with charges from our database.
A good artist could probably pull the bat's wing tips down.

Can you expand on the trademark laws a little bit? How different does something need to be to not be a violation of a trademark? I would assume there doesn't have to be a huge difference or else every letter "M" would be a violation of the McDonald's trademark.

That looks good and is pretty close to what I would want. If the wings on the bat could be pulled/arched down to better match the original image (while also fitting into the shape of the black area), that would be great. I would also prefer the head to be symmetrical, possibly just coming to a point in the middle. If anyone can help out with that, I think I would be more than satisfied with the results. Thanks!

Frank, will the bat we have in the college images work?

That's what I used. We have two bats. I used the silhouette.
I used Coren's generator to make the field.
In Inkscape, I put a bat silhouette on a layer and painted it white, then squashed it to fit.
Then I made another layer, put another bat silhouette on top. and squashed it down smaller than the white one, creating the appearance of fimbriation.

I could probably pull some nodes down at the bottom of the bat's wings, but I'm just starting to learn, and it's hard to do while at work.

And, whatever we finish with, we'll have to feed back to the database. So, if we keep it at least vaguely resembling a bat, we can load it as Bat Silhouette 2 or something.

Oh, no. Even if I learn to do the work, I still won't want to. So, I wouldn't worry about competition from me.

We really need an artist to design a suitable charge to fulfill this requirement.

It is a bit rough, but I wanted to get it on here before I started work so I could chip at any ideas you might have during my down time.

It is definitely far enough from the Ultimate Warrior design that there should be no issues, but I think it evokes it a bit.

Let me know what you think.

That looks good for a start, but I'm not a big fan of the "flower petal" type design underneath the wings. I would prefer something either smoother or maybe with some sharper angles. One possible example would be something resembling the sample below:

I wonder if a maunche might not be a solution to this problem?

    A Maunch?

    Rarely used traditional charge.

Oh, I didn't mean to imply that it shouldn't be used. :) Just most wouldn't even know what it was without being told the name and searching it. ;)

A maunch might very well be a solution, if the submitter would be interested in it?

As much as I like the maunch, I don't really see any of the Ultimate Warrior in it.

Don't think I've forgotten about you, I have some artwork completed and approved, but my slavedriver boss won't let me build coats of arms on the clock. :D I should have something for you tonight.
