Combat pets?

    Will there be combat pets? Has there been any talk about this one way or the other from devs, I might have missed it?

    At the moment there has been no definitive information beyond that they will exist ... hopefully we'll hear some news soon

    There'll be combat ferrets, which can be held on multiple leashes. They'll be rabid and gnaw down your enemies with their powerful ferret teeth.

    I wonder if it will play into the deck system?

    Pets fighting each other would be cool. They would be a fun thing to collect like Pokémon.

    In Lord of the rings online I have a Lynx,Crow,Bear and Bog Crawler, At lvl 50 I get a cool Eagle :)

    I would like to see combat pets (only) accessible via taming. This could be a great way to earn money ingame when selling them.

    I loved NWN's pseudo dragon familiar, it reminded me of Vlad Taltos' (small) dragon companion in the excellent fantasay series by Steven Burst. Not only could it fly around & scout for you (valuable for Sorcerer's with the Possession skill) with truevision - it's agility, immunity to sleep/paralysis , and fire breath made it a valuable distraction during combat.
