Just logged out of SotA to go to bed (gotta teach class tomorrow!), but the Edelmann home really strikes me as small...

The roof area is almost as large as the ground floor, and should have space for a loft, so you could put a bed there...

Even though it is smaller, the Citizen level house feels bigger due to the separation of the 2 sections...

But a queen/king size bed and some small items already make the Edelmann feel cramped!

+1 for expecting the Edelmann was going to have a second floor. If you pledge at that level though, you get a basement, so there should be plenty of room for all the beer.

Two things I'd love to see next:
    1. Off-line play, so we can continue exploring even after the server is closed
    2. Loft and balcony for the Edelmann house ;)
I am probably asking for too much on both accounts though!

There is a lot of confusion surrounding the Edelmann house because you get both a German themed one and an Austrian themed one. Apart from the minor cosmetic differences you are noticing, the Austrian Edelmann allows you to lock people in the basement...

I got the Edelmman digital pledge too. I would love to see a loft, or second story and a balcony.

So the Edelmann description now includes a waterside cabana...
I'm not clear whether that is EXTRA to the normal lot/house (which the description seems to imply) or not... Does anyone know?

The waterfront cabana is for founders. It is an extra house model. So you would receive, as a founder edelmann, three edelmann houses (land, water, benefactor) and three citizen houses (land, water, benefactor) but only one deed. To place a waterfront house you must lay claim to a waterfront plot. If you lay claim to a land plot, you can choose from any of the land based house models.

A benefactor edelmann will only receive two houses (edelmann benefactor, citizen benefactor).

That is what I thought, but the description suggests otherwise, which made me wonder to begin with... So perhaps that should be looked at:
(BTW: How do basements work with waterfront houses?)

From what I understand, there will be a portal object placed in your house which will allow you to teleport into your basement, similar to that used in the Wizard Tower. :)
