Container limits: Stacking more important

With the new item limit in containers, it gets more important whether items stack or not. It should be on by default imho.

Example:
Basement hatches do not stack. Depending on the pledge(s) people can have a big pile of at least dozens of these in the store.

 

Well ofc. not everything should stack, but i know what you mean.

However, i am glad about this change to the containers, makes sense.
Finally i can no longer throw everything into 1 chest

Well, i like it lol.

 

Have the same problem with blank books, papers and music sheets. I got a load of those to save multiple trips, but they take a huge toll on the numbers

 

@Chirp, Thank you for reporting, Issue has been submitted to the Development Team for review. I would like to suggest you consider posting this issue in the Feedback Section of this QA Release. That area tends to get more responses in ones favor although this issue seems to be doing very well here. Either way the issue has been submitted for review.

Thank you for all the reports. I'm going to move this to feedback for now for it to get more exposure for discussion. This is a new system, so some tweaking/polish will undoubtedly be part of the process going forward.

 

personally i think the number of items allowed should be further restricted based on size of container.

small bags< trunks-bags < chest < small cabinet < large cabinet

 

I kind of agree. At the moment I think I could go a lifetime and never need more than a chest and a small bag.
I've a chest on my lot that I've literally thrown everything into since persistence and it sits at a meagre 329 items due to stacking. Sure there are exceptions, like buying a hundred blank pieces of paper so you can paper mache the Taj Mahal but in reality, I wouldn't be upset if they further increased the container restrictions.

 

Try running a publishing business. Blank books and blank pieces of paper do not stack.

Also, recipes of the same type used to stack in earlier releases, but they changed it some point so they don't. It would be appreciated if we could stack them again.
