I'm just a little sheep and too blue to take anything - but I'm not opposed to rewarding you for taking advantage of that wicked five-finger discount everywhere you go. Loot all corners of New Britannia for me for chances to win Gold COTO and prizes! All plunder counts - anything swiped, stolen, or looted from cities, towns, merchants, any items otherwise known as "stealables" count as chances to win. Plunder, my good friend is the contest and if you have it in you to loot the world, you may just find yourself swimming in gold COTO and magical dye!

Are you flagged for PVP? If yes, then you're in luck my friend! The plunder claimed from the bodies of players you've defeated, and loot lifted from those poor souls gone AFK count as well - I'm happy to award bonus chance-to-win points for PVP loot - but remember, where PVP plunder is concerned - pics or it didn't happen.

OOOO! This sounds interesting! How long is the event going on, and can multiple drops count as 1 entry? (My poor thief can't carry much)

 

I guess dropping 10000 corpse wax won't count since it's looted from skeletons and not players right?

 

Multiple drops can count as multiple entries or one entry if your contribution is light. haha

 

I'd be happy to take that off your hands but for the contest - stealables and loot from PVP

I'd love to but my house and chests are filled to the brim with stolen stuff in preparation for Dumb Decision #126.

BTW, once this ridiculous flagging for stealing goes in, I'll be handing out stolen items to anyone who wants them so they don't flag.

Well folks - the contest has been live for two whole weeks now and not one single item has been deposited. Not even an entry of one of my bones! I was PK'd so many times during R36 and all someone had to do was deposit MY SKULL into the dedicated container and they could have won 50 COTO and about 20$ worth of magical dyes.

You are all the most virtuous people in the game and I couldn't be more proud. Contest is over... I guess I'll just have to use one of my alts to decorate my house now.

Maybe try posting this in the Events section as well next time? Or the PVP section too.

 

Horrible timing Duke - I had planned to play last night and drop a stack of empty jars in your chest but had a horrible headache. I was going to tonight....but now you don't get my stack of empty jars.

 

I'll restart things in R37 - and next time I'll post the contest in the events section of the forums as suggested by @Sheamus McGuinness ... I'm already thinking about upping the prize package and adding a super mega grand prize tier that includes a taxable place anywhere land deed.

I still think it was a grand event idea and a big kudos to you.
Get it into the weekly event and the event calendar and I think that someone would have dumped something.

I check this forum 400 times a day and this is the first time I saw it.

 

I'll put something together soon - gotta change up the picture (new house) and add a more enticing prize package. When the relaunch happens, I'll have the contest posted in the events forum too.

 

so does this mean i can just loot the chest before you get there ?

 

There will be a twist on the upcoming contest... two chests... one for PVE drops in a PVE town... and one for PVP drops in a PVP town. The chests will be as secure as the permissions system allows... though, I may put a honeypot out for anyone feeling super adventurous in the PVP town.
