    I received "An Ancient Ring" that when equipped offers +1 Intelligence.

    Anyone else care to share (besides fish and broken hoods, boots etc...)?

    I'm glad they decided to have some non-craftable magic items in the game like this, "ancient" items etc. I hope we find this type of thing in dragon lairs and other places in the game too.

    After an 5 hour fishing session i am at 35 fishing and i only found a lot of fishes and broken stuff.
    Oh and 2, yes 2! Black Pearls.

    That's it.

    So there are 3 things that come into my mind:
    a) the ring is simply ultra rare and hard to catch and you were just very lucky
    b) the ring needs an higher fishing skill to catch (what's your fishing skill btw. and where did you find the ring? in what zone? )
    c) the ring you posted is a fake? :p

    I have to say, I've been knocking this game lately (about the lack of item drop, no PvM in the housing zones, etc.) but this fishing is a giant leap forward in immersion (so is the musical instruments).

    I hope they make fishing spots better than others (i.e. by weeds, under a dock). Nothing but boots boots boots so far! :D

    I got a ring with my second catch at like skill 3... it has the same +1 INT modifier as the OP.

    At 20 skill now and have only gotten fish since then.
