One of my favorite features in EVE online was the radio DJ's, they kept me playing the game long after I would have quit.

I don't have a headset in game to listen to the radio station in game.

But custom chat channels are a much needed feature and allow for social networking and in game contests and prizes.

Rich players can choose to support Avatar Radio for cash giveaways and it's a good way to get started in Sandbox MMO's.

I am really into radio and would like to see this feature.

Yes, EVE radio was a great community and being able to interact with the DJs is a must, otherwise it may as well just be pre-recorded.

Well, you could always just open up a web browser, go to Avatarsradio.info , and click the "Live Streaming" button at the top left of the page.

You can run that in the background of the game client. No need to have an actual chat channel created in-game for this.

I, for one, love the idea of custom chat channels. They are pretty standard in MMOs. There will be some expectation from new players coming from other MMOs. Thanks for the idea!

If you want one, you could buy a set of Clockwork armor. The helmet has a radio built in. It goes on sale during the telethons with other clothing.

There are quite a few available on player vendors, especially the Brass virtue version from a prior telethon reward. They tend to be expensive, but its an alternative to paying real cash.

I do agree with the chat suggestion. Note that Avatars Radio does have a channel on Discord.
