Just started into R39, and found the cover mechanism active as announced. That is a new and in my opinion good mechanic, overall.
But it seems to trigger too easily, or at least it feels like that. The finding is that the 'Cover' message comes really often, even in open terrain.

    Example:
I was 'dancing' with some grizzlies around the Shuttered Eye. The area is open, just a bit hilly (not even like a sports field), and has a bit of grass. Hey, I was fully seeing the bear, and he me, but this 'Cover!' bit sprang around over and over again.

If there is a pebble on the ground between me and my opponent, that does not constitute coverage, I'd say ;)

This feedback is based on impression - no measurement done in any way.

I only dabbled in R39 briefly last night and saw the "cover" thing pop up, but I only saw it once that I noticed and wasn't sure that was what it meant.

I'll do some more testing today to get more feedback.

Just fought a group of thugs in twin foothills, and cover popped up almost every single swing in open terrain. Where the hiding behind each other?> :p

Cover seems to be totally broken in 462. I posted this bug.
