this is two different recipes. the sack of wheat grain recipe takes 4 wheat and gives you one sack of wheat grain. the sack of flour recipe takes one sack of wheat grain and gives you one sack of flour.

the manual adding to the window does not matter either: you never have to click a recipe on the left to craft something, that's just a convenience. if you know it, or if it's discoverable and within your ability, you can always just put the ingrediants in the window. sack of flour is discoverable. it tells you at the bottom before you hit craft that it recognizes it as the ingrediants for sack of flour, so you did already know it, or it would have said undiscovered recipe.
