Damage of Air attack are very low

    The damage of air attack spells are very frustrating and you can no longer use.

    Let me give an example:
    Air attunement: 90/95
    Chain Lightning 94
    Discharge: 90

    You think that is bad. Try killing a ghost... ZERO damage from air, fire, earth, sun spells. Liches you will also do little to no damage with spells. Mage builds are useless in many cases now. :mad:

    Liches can be killed with air spells, it just takes about twice as long.

    an archer/mage can't kill a ghost easly... i use my 2 handed mace on the HEAD of the ghost (and this is a little bit strange... ghosts have no body)

    BTW. i'm using also the chainlighting.. and seems that this speel is very ineffective
    ... wolves and bears do not receive the usual 140/200 criticals from electricity... just 79/100 (-50%)


    and on real world (real?) Ghosts probably can be managed only by mages...

    At one point the Dev. team had ghosts not taking any serious damage from corporeal weapons, and in order to keep an undead down one had to use magic. I imagine that the player base is forcing these changes, away from the original concept, by being too efficient in killing mobs.

    I think part of the problem is that magic had no drawbacks before. (I know, reagents, but that's an economy issue and has to do nothing with combat itself)
    You have no miss chance with magic, which is a huge plus, even with the "melee spells".
    You deal (before R36) really good damage against all mob types.
    You have access to both powerful single target attacks and to great AoE attacks.

    Spells are limited by focus. Well, melee and ranged glyphs also use focus. So that's not a limiting factor for magic, but for combat glyphs in general.

    So now something had to be done, otherwise magic would just be the best choice for damage dealing in general. I honestly have no idea how good the changes are playing out, because I haven't done any spellcasting this release (yet). Anyway, I think it might take some time, but eventually Port will figure out the proper numbers to establish balance.

    Ok for Ghost and Lich.. but with animal is not normal!
    Now the mage is dead!

    I can kill ghosts easy with my bow skills, also for all undeads we have Banish undead (from Life) and Searing Ray (from sun). I see lots of options and you really don't need to have any of them to 90 or GM.
