Death Losses while PVPing are suppose to be none.

    We are suppose to not loose experience while pvping yet there are many ways while pvping that still give us losses. Since your system seems to have issues with turning the losses off I suggest you add a line of code that simply checks for pvp flag. If the flag is there no losses. If not regular losses. This should fix your system so we stop getting exp loss from gust/torpid torment/other DOTs. I want to enjoy pvping and you have told us were should not get any losses from pvping please fix this cause it's really sucking at the moment to have to grind for hours for a pvp loss I should not be experiencing.

    Are you saying that you are losing xp when being killed specifically by another player? It's not supposed to save you from dying from cliffs, bears, skeletons, etc.

    I believe they said they had changed their minds on this. I think it's by design to have decay in pvp. And I agree with this decision.

    To decay in pvp would = bye bye pvp. I really do not think its intentional.

    No decay on pvp death! Yet the main pvp dungeon is designed to gust each other off bridges so you fall and get decay lol.

    @Baron Drocis Fondorlatos That make no sense at all. That would mean I could go around and repeatedly pk players so they never catch up to me in experience or quit pvping. If that is even slightly on their minds they have decided to get rid of pvp.

    You definitly should flag and spend the next 2 weeks flagged. Count all your deaths. Add up how much decay in exp you would loose and then intentionally die to loose that amount of exp. And tell me how for it you still are.

    Yeah, why PvP is exempt while PvE isn't doesn't really make sense. Especially with those who insist on death having meaning = decay.

    Personally, I'm against decay period though so I'm slightly biased.

    To OP, does it scale like deaths in PvE do currently (each one slightly less decay than the death before)?

    Yes it follows the same system on certain skills but not all of them. Death over time spells like rend, fire dots, and torpid torment will take exp when you die from them as will any skill that knocks you over a cliff. Direct damage deaths do not currently take exp. I'm personally against all death taxes but in pvp it's just stupid unless we start getting exp off players. We don't get exp while pvping so making us loose exp while pvping is stupid. To even it out we can make it so that there is a random chance of death while crafting, mining, smelting in crafting you are at least gaining experience . (sarcasm) This is how absurd it is to have decay for pvp deaths.

    been flagged almost every hour online since persistence (opting out if im grouping with players that dont want to flag) and yes decay on pvp death should stay 100%
    "anything else would kill pvp" as folks like to use as an argument because no one can have a difference in opinion...

    How many hours have you actual been in the game though? People can have as many opinions as they want but if they are not actually in the game playing it for hours on end testing every little bit the of system their opinions are not based on any reality that is useful to the actual players in the game. Here is the list of the top 20 pvper they aren't just flagged but actually fighting and killing people. Let me know when you convince any of them that decay in pvp is a good idea.

    You don't get xp from pvping but you do lose it, confirmed by a dev. This is a bug that has been in for a couple of releases now. I removed my flag because of it.

    @Peabo link it I bug reported it and they did not say that they said for fall damage it is currently but they want us to discuss it which is what I am doing :p

    And I do not loose exp for all pvp death types. The bug was loosing exp for pvp which has been fixed for awhile now so feel free to turn the pvp flag back on just watch dots and fall damage those will still take exp.

    why do i need to convince them? is my opinion of less value?
    For the record I am adventure level 85 but a casual player with over 1500 hours in game since feb 2014.

    in short I really dont care what the top pvpers want, I care what I want.

    @Lord Halvard Fimbultyr So you understand as a casual player doing pvp that if decay was added fully in pvp I can hunt you down and kill you over and over again to make sure you never catch up to my level? That is what you are asking for with normal decay in pvp. Im adventure level 114 started on Nov 2 2016 and have 3242 hours of game play. You are certainly welcome to your opinion but I'd actually like you know why you have it not just what it is. I have the opinion of no decay in pvp cause I actually want the possibility that casual player can level up to my level and pvp with me. If I'm killing you repeatedly and you don't gain experience that won't happen.
