I'm in deep Ravenswood and I'm at least 30% less resilient than before R47, anyone got a link to what they did to heavy armour DF?

Edit - It could also be reduced in/out of combat heal rates as well, food influenced, not sure...
No problems with this, it has just changed, I like it tough, just asking.

r57, but yes there were changes that may affect you. If you Specialize in a particular tree of magic, then the opposite of that tree now has a Resistance Debuff instead of an Attunement Debuff. So, I'm at 100 Water Specialization, and I now get -10 Fire Resist. My Water Buff is 20. I've also notice that magi in The Rise have changed, and hit harder, which is probably due to the fire resist change.

I'm a chain wearing dual wield, main attunement is Earth. I'm not sure what the opposite is, maybe Air? But I am definitely taking about (guess) 25% more loss of health against normal mobs, such as Bears, Wolves etc. I've not yet monitored other types, or more complex magic user mobs. I'm just deeply curious, what has occurred? @Chris?

Yes the opposite of Earth is Air, but you should only have a negative Air Resistance if you Specialized in Earth. If you pull up the Skills Tree(K key by default,) each Magic Shool's opposing school of magic is directly opposite in the graphic. There may have been changes with mobs resists, or damages, but I didn't read anything about that. Will let you know if I come across any information regarding changes to mobs.

Ouch! just done a test in Tenebris. I'm definitely way more squishy. It's just about OK-ish, but it will impact where I can go. I would really like to hear the science of what is causing this.

I assume you were tracking the max damage reduction reduction a few releases ago. This was around cow bell time. The max damage reduction percentage was reduced. Thus hits became a bit more palpable.

Yea, thanks for taking the time to think about this.

These changes, if it isn't my imagination, are just this release R57. What I think I've determined is it's extra damage from higher level mobs....

I haven't noticed too much of a change in damage taken this release. It may be that seeing the yellow bar take chunks out draws the eye a bit more.

I did some sanity checking out at Wynton's Folly. Against Hardened Skeleton Footmen with Montantes I took the following average damage.

    Leather: 45 (max reduction 44.8%)
Constantin Plate: 38 (max reduction 68.6%)
Constantin Plate and Shield: 20 (max reduction 68.6%)

Archers appear to be hitting harder though at 50-110. Average about 66.

I do not have correlated data from the previous release. I did seem to go red a bit quicker one run. That prompted the check between armor types.
