Title: Devotionals need a confirmation from player!
    Reproduction Rate:Always
    Blocker?
Details:I find it irritating that just by running past a devotional you receive the bonus, there needs to be a action or confirmation to receive these buffs. Standing by one to activate is not intuitive nor is it fun when you need to avoid them once you have the buff you want! I suggest a confirmation menu pops up or have us double click on the devotional!
    Steps to Reproduce:See above

Something, anything that requires an explicit action to receive a blessing would be nice. I'd actually be ok with just having to jump into the water. Right now adventuring and exploring POTs is like a mini-game... enter any POT and after your exit check to see what blessing you picked up. :D

Someone suggested to use the prayer or kneel emote I think that sounds like a good idea.
I'm not much for confirmation boxes either

Fortunately all 11 devotionals are currently present in one place you've got a vendor (New Britannian Market) :)

I quite enjoy the way the NBM devotionals are arranged - the paired blessings I prefer are side by side so there aren't any unexpected substitutions when I visit them.

I don't want the extra wasted time of devotionals like double clicking or confirmation boxes. Just running by one is perfect. Why wreck something just to make life harder?

I'm not sure. I've entered it as an "Improvement" request instead of a "Task", so it will be reviewed to take all viewpoints into consideration.

I'm not a fan of clicking or check boxes but the devotionals as-is have an AOE on par with a mob boss. They leak into homes and 'grief' unsuspecting players that are exploring POTs without knowing exactly where all the devotionals are. It's a rather unpleasant experience to pick up unwanted blessings - and the entire experience is then exacerbated by the mechanic itself when trying to dismiss and reapply. It all becomes an unwelcome task that trumps any intended immersion rather quickly.

Hopefully the devs don't think players are wanting to wreck anything... right now, it seems the mechanic is bugged and a fun way to fix it might be something, an action that contributes to the immersion.

you really need to change this. running by messes people up when they have their 2 blessings set.

my best suggestion is to have us jump into the water since its there. i think that would be perfect.
as for NBM, i avoid them there for this reason.

I think Devotionals should be an active choice, whether by emote or by donation. I'd go so far as to say that each devotional requires a unique donation of something common - apple, ore, arrow, book, etc.

Well - if they don't get fixed we get some good jokes about devotional STD's to throw around... don't visit ____, you'll catch sacrifice.

We don't need rules and regulations involved with devotionals because some POT owners are lazy designers place these things where they are so close to people's homes their power extends into that home. There is a BIG symbol on each one so you can clearly see if it is one they want.

Adding more find tuning like this will only allow Port a non-finished game when Episode 1 is finally released this July/August. Eventually our Game list inside of the gear will have 1000's of on/off options.

I like your STD comment as I feel that is the "fix" ;)

R40 artifact: two-handed phallic like artifact that varies in size and length - when equipped it wards against devotional blessings.

Well even if it chimed when you received the blessing, some notification even a chime sound. Once you have the total you can receive which is 2 then there would be no sound until you dismiss one.

They are buggy as all hell and having devotionals near each other is not necessarily lazy. I don't share your vision of, "If it's in the game good enough. On with the next thing and lets crank things out without looking back despite great user feedback." That would be a terrible e1.
