doing some experiments on Death shield... is the passive necessary?

    i tried to increase the "DEATH MASTERY" from 50 to 75... to see if the DEATH SHIELD become better.. but seems that nothing changes.. anyone experiencing this?

    Converts a portion of damage received from physical attacks to health.
    Effect
    Cooldown: 6 seconds
    20% Chance to consume reagents
    +10.2% Death Transfer Percentage for 10.2 seconds
    (effect increases with skill)


    maybe is right that the death shield can't be improved using the passive?

    the innate affects life drains. i'd expect that to be death touch and death ray, but death shield isn't actually draining hp from an enemy.

    ok another skill that i don't need to train...
