Don't Fear the Reaper: Use the Cowbell

I can't seem to find the answer so, apologies if it's already been asked. Are the cowbell and short shirt permanently added drops from Reapers or is there a time limit?

 

Now, I have try and remember what I used to do in this game before the cowbell.

 

I think I'm done with Reapers for a while since I got my bell. I'm still finding splinters and wood chips in my under clothes. Even more so since I think plate is taking a hit from the nerf hammer in R53. I may not be as formidable tomorrow after it hits.

 

I don't think we've gotten and update on that since @Berek posted this when asked if they would last until R53 and beyond.

 

It's not getting removed in R53, so you have time to get it .

 

Just leave it!! Drop rate is very low yet ive sunk so much time in to it.

 

Got mine in under the wire. Was good for the ashen heart count. I got easily over Loch Ness Monster count on Reaper kills.

 

Took Ffred out tonight for a few loops thru Ulheim looking for a few more Primal Bear Teeth, other nice items from the hill top crew. Also some wood from reapers, to build furniture, and of course a shot at the elusive Cow Bell. Swap out looting and I looted one while he was still heading in. Of course he gets in and help skill 2nd one - his first Reaper Kill and poof a Cow Bell.. FML..Anywhooo congratulation Nox Ffred

I'm glad its hard to get. It's about time we had to play the game for items instead of having them handed to us easily.

 

Hard to get like phoenix feathers, dragon head, fleet flute, etc?

 

It's not 'hard' to get. Just mind numbingly time consuming.

 

I'd say that can fall under the category of "hard." Sometimes there should be rewards for hard-core playing. However, even the casual player, if they want it bad enough, can dedicate all their play time to a goal like this if they really, REALLY want something.

 

Ok, I'm going to eat my words. Drizz and I have been in Greymark Forest for days now (at least 350-400 reapers down between us) and neither the cowbell or the shirt recipe have surfaced. So either I'm getting my just rewards for being cocky in my previous posts or they're not in the loot tables because of all the recent patches. @Lexie and @DarkStarr would you please make sure? Thank you! Not complaining about the effort, just making sure they're actually in the game.

@Alleine Dragonfyre , They are still in the game. I just got a cowbell in Greymark.

 

I'd been trying for a cowbell ever since they came out. Finally got one yesterday in Ulfheim after waaaaay too many attempts.

I'm over 250 kills and no cowbell myself.

 

Has anyone given up or found one recently?
