Question: now that it has been confirmed Duke plot is like 2X city plot, is it possible to put like 2 houses inside the plot, obviously if they fit...like one Duke Keep + one smaller mansion or else...obviously this second house is to be considered an add on to be independently purchased.

OR the plot limit is just one structure?

    Same question about Island.

    Thanks

I think it is just one, too. I suspect that is true of all lots.

Just one for now, but there's a stretch goal coming called the "Flexible Lot Placement of Structures". From Darkstarr's Megapost:

    • Flexible Lot Placement of Structures: Goal = $250,000
      • Description: Players can now place multiple structures on a single lot. Players can also rotate and move structures versus a fixed location. This will be a GREAT stretch goal that will allow player built towns to really look amazing, for example: On large central lots of town, guilds could build shared services and town squares, on castle lots, players could host an array of guest structures and services in their courtyards, even more modest lots could be built out as twin towers versus a single house.
        • Note: These objects will be decorations for your yard that are NOT decoratable themselves. If the stretch goal is met these will then become decoratable objects.
      • Package: $200 (package discount)
        • Garden Shed: $30
        • Small Knight’s Tent: $30
        • Large Knight’s Tent: $40
        • Greenhouse: $50
        • Stables: $65

I expect this to be the first stretch goal I put $ into... will likely get the package.

Don't get too excited, gents. It won't pass unless each of you buys twenty packages. :)

Actually, even if you do, it probably still won't come anywhere close to passing. :(

@ Lord Trenyc, just for fun:

If everyone who pledged Lord and above (392 of us) participated in this stretch goal we'd each have to purchase $250,000 / 392 players / $200 package = ~ 3 $200 dollar packages..

If everyone who pledged Duke and above (67 players) participated in this stretch goal, they'd each have to purchase $250,000 / 67 / $200 package = ~ 19 $200 dollar packages..

    Yep, sounds unlikely.

this is viable to citizens as much as lords+... the only one it isn't viable for is the row lot.

True. Although in the case of Citizens, on village lots, i wonder if they will likely only be able to rotate their property, where Lord and above, on town+ lots, they'll potentially be able to place more than 1 property. Perhaps my perception of spatial dimensions are off.

Moving a house to an edge for crops is just as important to a farmer as having a second house is to a slumlord ;)

For my part, I wasn't really talking about Lords+. I was talking about the people that are interested in buying those Stretch Goal packages. You're right--it doesn't really matter if they're Ancestors or Citizens or Lords or Dukes. At any rate, there don't seem to be many people interested in dumping money in that hole.

In any case, you are correct. My earlier assessment doesn't take into account that there is definitely a benefit to Village lots as well.

I wonder if there would still be 1 home able to be placed, while you can place other structures (not homes on it). I would expect if you could place other homes on one lot that would mean a new interface designed for placing houses. Maybe making house placement more like decorating (red when it wont fit, green when you have it in correct position). dragging the model of the home or contract out to the property lets you position it? hmm.. interesting..

Well it's not even available yet.

But then all the stretch goals are hurting right now.

So 19 of 67 Dukes, or about what....37 percent of those pledgers...would need to participate to trick out their lots more? Perhaps not improbable IF the items were modifiable per the stretch goal. Otherwise they are kind of expensive land-props if the stretch goal is not met. Could just as interesting land props be found through adventure?

Why are so many people obsessed with being "first" for everything? Do they not realize there is no such thing anymore? I don't care what it was, there was always somebody else who thought of that 'first'.
