    I was signed up for beta testing of that years ago right before they trashed it for third dawn, I can say yes to that question , I quit playing OSI and pretty much Boycotted all EA games, after that and went to Private servers mostly due that, I can still remember it like yesterday, I had magazine articles I was saving , beta videos , plus all the awesome advertising in Ultima 9 Ascension everywhere , I was never more excited for a game since, and Probably never will be THAT excited again due to the massive disappointment that occurred when RG was fired and EA trashed UO for a failed Expansion for UO. I can honestly say that scarred me as a gamer for life and left a permanent scar.

    To be honest, both Ultima Online 2 and Ultima X looked like tripe, to me... Seemed the franchise was headed down the Everquest route; non-interactive boring environments in favor of 3D graphics. Though UO was 2D/isometric, it was an infinitely more interactive and rich virtual world than WoW or any of its 100's of clones. Silly as it may sound, one of the things I'm really looking forward to in SOTA and one of the things that I think it really has going for it is the fact that you can (it seems) drop items on the ground, decorate your house free form, etc...

    Took most of us all of us (Dev+) 10 min or less to download. So even if they didn't release it early to everyone, I would assume it will only take a few min to download Thursday.
