    Forgot to add, on R8 & R9, for myself personally I could live without the encounters on the map and pulling people into things. But that's just me and it seems a lot of people think that's going to be fun so I'm just throwing it out there as one more opinion in the crowd. :)

    @ DarkStarr - Regarding interactive areas in R8 - does this mean that other guild members can initially place items in the tavern as well as move them? Right now, only one person (i.e., the owner) actually can, which can be quite time consuming :(

    Not to dip in on Darkstarr but I believe this is for places Like Firelotus tavern and other PUBLIC buildings, not player structures. What you are looking for is in R9

    • Player Housing: Exterior Decorations and Permissions: Do you desire even more from housing? Your greatest desires will be answered with advanced features that greatly expand the player housing system including exterior decorations, house purchase in game, and player lot access permissions so you can control who can visit your space (everyone, friends, or kindred)

    Actually, I was talking about our Bear Tavern, not player housing...;) It would take too long for a single guild member (i.e., the owner) to decorate all of the floors by himself...as we discovered in R6.

    Aartemis is correct. Permissions allow decoration by friends, kindred, etc. While guilds don't come online until after Q3 (although we may try to pull them earlier) you can use these other permissions to simulate your guild

    Hi all.

    I know it might be early but

    unlike a game that is released when it is done and then you have the system requirements , we require as participants already during the development time unfortunatly a little earlier some oriantation
    You might placed them but i missed out on that information.


    I guess alot of us are running releases on lowest requirements because we are holding out on purchasing new computers or upgrades for our system until we know the system requiremetns.

    So i am looking at all the upcomging Releases and wondering if i should jump now or hold out with new comp. Could not handle Multipalyer on R6 anymore and hate playing on lowest resolution slowly.


    Also it is my guessing, that we might have some backers out there who are holding out on pledging just because they are not sure if the comps will be able to handle the game. :)


    Maybe some tips you have for us what system requirements we should take a direction for?

    I like the new goals set here.

    I don't want to see the combat system in place until they have something they feel ready to show otherwise it will be killed in the cradle.

    I agree with your comments on the combat system. It is an important piece and is different enough from what a lot of people are used too. To properly assess its merits requires that a highly, polished system be introduced to the general public.

    I thought that the compass was probably going to be the most advanced method of finding your way in-game, as Richard Garriott mentioned in some video (Don't lawyer you, bro! ;)).

    A few posts above yours - you might have missed it... :)

    It's possible they won't look at PvP too closely until they have a working combat system using the deck concept, but I have no clue what their plans are! :)
