Elf town treehouse external lighting

I totally get why outside lighting is generally somewhat restricted. However, with the elf town treehouse, the limit of 8 external lights is impossible to work with! Half of your house is considered 'external' (both the ground floor under everything, and the 'deck'/open air floor.) Please, consider either bumping up the number of lights allowed, or at least make the deck be considered 'indoors' in terms of lighting.
