Elven Essence

I am assuming these are for Dungeons only, can anyone confirm this for me?

Yes, they are for the random dungeons. Chris didn't have time to get everything done this release for them. So while the essenses are available off the elves, the totems can't be built and placed.

He thought it would be cool to have them drop, even though they couldn't be used.

This is clearly explained within the patch notes!

Obviously you have to read between the lines that essence for elves is now dropping, one of the encounter rooms will be an elf totem and that this is delayed but it says so quite clearly in the release notes.

I hate patch day. Half the stuff isn't in the notes and the half that is in the notes probably doesn't work

Really starting to lose confidence.

 

Release day has been like that as long as I've played (since persistence). I generally take the first week off after release so I can play once it has stabilized. Makes for a nice break.
