Elven Weapon Salvage Yield Unbalanced

    Title: The salvage rate of tier3 components from elven weaponry is unbalanced.
    Reproduction Rate: 100%

    Details: Elven Estoc salvage rate of hilts is not balanced fairly compared to Elven Woodwind Long Bow salvage rate of strings. Here is a test I ran this morning. I've run several of these with the same results:

    Elven Woodwind Long Bows
    Carpentry Level 96
    Carpentry Salvage Level 90
    Blessing of Sacrifice (+5 Carpentry)
    Expert Carpentry Station (+5 Carpentry)
    Obsidian Potion of Reclamation

    Salvaged: 117 Elven Woodwind Long Bows

    Yield:
    Elven Bow String (4)
    Imbued Elven Bow String of Precision (3)
    Imbued Elven Bow String of Speed (3)
    Pattern: Elven Woodwind Long Bow (7)
    Maple Long Bowstave (2)
    Pine Long Bowstave (3)

    Elven Estocs
    Blacksmithing Level 100
    Blacksmithing Salvage Level 90
    Blessing of Valor (+5 Blacksmithing)
    Expert Blacksmithing Station (+5 Blacksmithing)
    Obsidian Potion of Reclamation

    Salvaged: 94 Elven Estocs

    Yield:
    Pattern: Elven Estoc (5) <----- There's the problem.

    That's very low yield compared to the bows: zero hilts, compared to the several strings from the bows. This is just one example...I've done this several times with hundreds and hundreds of salvages and the results are the same. Please take a balance pass here. I would expect to get more hilts, otherwise we're back to favoring ranged weapons again :)

    Steps to Reproduce: Salvage a bunch of each and compare the yield. Do it as much as you want, the results are consistent.

    When did you do this scrapping? Immediately prior to your post today? Because I scrapped 138 Elven longbows the day after 51 dropped and I had a 100 carpentry salvage, and the devotional carpentry buff and received 0 strings, 0 bowstaffs and 9 patterns. I did use a cross section of durability, but there were at least 40 bows with 100 top end durability in the sample.

    It wasn't an isolated test. I've done it several times with hundreds of items of varying durability and seen the same results. Maybe I'm missing something but can't see a reason why.

    @Lexie I'm on 743 and I salvaged roughly 100 elven weapons today. A mixture of bows and 2 different sword types. Of all of those, I got 1 maple bow stave. A few days ago, I salvaged 30 torc weapons and got 0 components dropped from that. I'm GM in Carpentry and Black smithing salvage.

    In previous patches, it was far more reasonable than it is now. I have several guildies also complaining about this.

    i have heard several others complain too. Since I started this thread I salvaged an additional 400 of each and got 0 hilts :( On the other hand I got several strings. Something isn’t balanced here.

    @Lexie , any update on this? Has it been confirmed as a bug? I've heard several other players complain in game and on Discord about this.

    @Lexie - I know you're digging out of a backlog, but can this please be prioritized? It was reported in R51 and still exists in the R52 QA and we haven't seen anything on it. Will this be addressed before launch? We hope so.
