Escape key

Can you please give us the option to change the hotkey that brings up the options window? As it is, the escape key is problematic because it's used for too many other things. Very often, I bring up the options window right in the middle of an intense situation. This is one of the most upsetting features of this game. It's right up there with the cursor reappearing in mouselook whenever a window opens/closes and accidentally moving decorations because a decoration "mode" was completely unnecessary when all that was needed was a modifier key in order to pickup a placed decoration. Alright, rant over. Please allow us to change the hotkey to open the options window (or at least be able to disable having escape bring it up because there's a convenient icon right there).

 

Agreed. I hit the ESC key to do a lot of things (exit out of shops/trade windows/crafting stations, drop targets, etc)

 

The worst part is there is some amount of lag (like 250ms or so) when the options window opens and closes, which easily leads to pressing it too many times. Plus there is something causing you to need to push ESC one more time to invisibly unselect something, so you end up waiting even longer than that to see that the options window hasn't come up yet.

Specifically, after doing the daily oraclebux, I have to press ESC three times to get to the options screen. The first time ends the NPC chat, and the third time brings up the options window, but I'm not sure what the second ESC does.

 

Probably un-targets the oracle.

Control-Esc will be my new options friend!

 

They only added an option to disable toggling the Options window with the escape key.

 

Oh. Remap would be much better :/

 

I'm just happy that the Options window won't popup now when I'm just trying to un-target something.
