Keep forgetting that the title under our names is not our pledge level, I was about to ask why you needed to use lori's when your a citizen, duh!!

I thought the comment a was more interesting way or saying how realistic the snake was. I like how it's not actually touching the sphere but arched towards it while keeping the 'chaos' curvature. That's really cool.

There where 2 moons in the original Ultima's, depending on their phases the moongate went to different locations

if no ... then it's my little "secret" weapon
if yes ... then it'll be a nice little "community item" that should draw lots of attention to my house

I would suspect that if it's outdoors the answer is probably yes.. but it might also be possible they'll allow you to set permissions on who can interact with outdoor items. They've talked about doing it with books where you can have visitors sign in etc.. and it only makes sense for crafting stations.. so why not the moon dial?

 

Actually I assume the opposite because they don't want everyone using your crafting tables because that would mean that cities are irrelevant

 

I don't know how far permissions would go but you'd at least be able to allow co-owners or anyone else living in your home to use the craft tables.

 

the sharing of crafting stations i'm sure will be player controlled, probably a list of other players who can use it?

whats neat is the moondial has a LOT of potential to be VERY handy, knowing when certain events will trigger ... this should attract a crowd, and if a certain event is going to happen, they may need items, so it might be smart to have them crafted and ready to go, to sell into the crowd who gathers to look at your moondial ... liking this

 

Oh yes you can share it but there are limits, Chris said that they don't want EVERYONE to be able to use them because it would cheapen the city assets, can't see this being any different

 

Except as far as we know there is no 'city asset' moon dial.. though I would hope that some of the cities would have observatories.. it should be up to the owner of the moon dial who gets to use them.

Sweet! I love the marble hand option! I'm not a great fan of a lot of shiny things so the marble hand option is awesome!

As a little clarification: it gives a bit more contrast to the item. That its not a 'solid block of one color'.

 

The moondial is absolutely awesome.
