Experimenting Crafting R25 - Cant do anymore ! help

Hi I havent played since June/July and the crafting system has changed since, seems you can no longer experiment discovering recipes, I go on wiki , look up a recipe i dont own and try to craft it to discover the recipe, seems like you need to buy the reciepe for everything now. example i dont have the maple strip recipe, and when i put in the required items according to wiki, the craft button doesnt light up. Am i doing some thing wrong, or you cant experiment anymore..

Discovery is still in. It is the wiki that is out of date. Until crafting settles down, it was a lot of work to keep up with every change.

 

so all the recipes have changed, hmm well chuck out all my printouts from 6 months ago in the bin then ... But also if i have the recipe in my book and try doing it manually doesn't light up the craft button either i have noticed

 

It lights up if you put in the right amount and ingredients - manual or book method. If it doesn't like up, I'd assume (1) bug or (2) got an ingredient wrong.

 

Not all recipes changed. But all recipes MAY change, since the actual values will be most likely be tweaked with time.

Also, it always required the exact number of ingredients or the Craft button won't light up. A lot of recipes use the same ingredients, just in different quantities.

If a recipe says four timbers and one wax (as per your screenshot), and you put in eight timbers and twentyfour wax (as per your screenshot, again), either there is a recipe for eight timbers and twentyfour wax, or the one for four timbers and one wax won't light up.

 

The recipe clearly says 4 timbers, 1 wax, 1 cubit measure
Try the correct amounts on the table

But ALOT of recipes have and are changing I would NOT print stuff out until last patch or two before release

 

Well I have finally been able to craft some (crit) plate armor

I started with 450 white iron sheets that I'd saved up I was tempted all along to just start hitting it, but I waited. Along with that I used bolts of focus thread, and Constantine binders.. That breaks down to
White iron sheet 2+ str on every pc smithed.
Fusion cloth bolt +2 int which is something I can use because I don't train in that at all
Binding of a Constantine give 0.2 damage avoidance eh it's something, and only used on chest and legs












So as you can see here i'm standing at my vendor and there are the same crit armor in my vendor but this was last night, I don't charge a lot just want to get this stuff out there and would like to know how you like it... the extra strength?


Here you can see the difference how it is for me with just plain cloth cloths on, i'm a little tipsy here must be that mug of mead not sure how many I've had at that point hehe

Are you sure that you used constanstan? From my own experience and sotacraft.com that should give dex. Bronze on the other hand would give avoidance..

Also how many mats did you have left at the end?
