Expert Brewing Station?

I'm being told a brewing station has been discussed.

When brewing is added to the game, will it use a separate brewing station like a still or the cooking station?

If you are adding a brewing station, will there be an expert version and will that option be added to the "bagged" pledge crafting station rewards? So if someone has an unclaimed crafting station, can they later redeem it for a brewing station?

 

FWIW, I think if you add a station after everyone claimed their rewards, I think it will cause some backlash that people weren't allowed the opportunity to claim it.

A stove isn't a still, but really if cooking is all one skill, it makes sense from a gameplay balance perspective for one station to tie directly to one skill. So I'm personally against adding a brewing station.

 

I think a brewing station would be appropriate.. but then I'd also like to see a brewing skill. (or an appropriately named skill that also covers wines) Brewing is not the same as cooking.

 

It kinda is just like cooking. Except for the inordinate time it takes waiting to ferment.

If I recall there is in one if the scenes a two story building with what I was hoping was a brewing station. I saw this a year ago. Possibly more.

A swampy area and a grocery list there for hops.

Must have been a brewers or moonshiners secret place.

 

im really hoping brewing gets a lot of attention. One of the devs, i forget who, said they also planned on being able to brew special brews with magical properties.

 

I was under the impression brewing would just be a recipe of sorts.

Aye, I've seen that too.

I really would rather this be a still available in game and add-on store. If it were to be used from our crafting stations that should have been put in before the final wipe so that we all knew. I've given my extra stations to others to use. Would be grrrrr to have to go buy a new one from someone or have to buy a whole POT bundle just to be able to get another one.

 

POTs got crafting station. I don't recall that.

Personally I'd love to be able to make a wide range of not just bear but ales, mead and all manner of wines and hard liquors.

What would be even cooler.. is if you could put your Arms on the label.

 

I've been wanting custom names or descriptions on Masterwork crafted items in general, but beers is an obvious example where this could really add some flavor.
