I just lost my lot in my city for inactivity :/

I think it would be good if the POT owner can remove, if they want, the inactivity timer in their city.

The tax free deeds will have much longer than two weeks before they go inactive.

But it makes sense to remove the timer for the POT owner, since there's no way for people to claim that area unless the POT owner wishes it. Even on the POT owners return, the situation is controlled by the POT owner, so the timer is kind of an arbitrary mechanic (in this use case).

The two weeks is definitely just for pre-alpha. Though it would be nice to have the ability to turn it off in POTs, it's problematic for the purchased in-game or add-on store deeds. If someone is out of game for a long time unexpectedly when the taxes come in, they could come back broke on top of being homeless!

Aye they will, 4 months for ancestor, 5 months for citizen, and an additional month added to each pledge level above citizen.

As a POT owner, I think I should be getting a cut of the taxes. After all, I'm the one that has to attract players to live there.

They game should be attractive and then will be full of players and the land will be pyrrhic. That will attract them to your nest!

    I agree.

But we can't ignore the positive contribution of POTs. It's more variety, more potential for active roleplaying or pvp or social interaction. It's a place that may actually drive people into the game or preserve the persistent "end game" after the single player story is completed. If the POT doesn't exist, this can't happen.

Well, that is the main point of the POTs in the game. I hope we will have more of that kind of interesting cities that ghost towns. That will help to make the game more attractive.
