    on sunday had 14 peoples over hours in that zone...

    i was only one hour in but think its around 20k igg per hour???

    this isn't new for this game. Nearly every release a new "hot spot" springs up. I don't understand why this one is getting such special concern?

    There was Serpents Spine for gold... eventually nerfed.
    The Rise for exp...
    The Monkey room for exp...

    There are many other examples so is this one bothering people because it's something that nearly everyone can do easily? What's it going to do, ruin the perfect player driven economy...

    If the developers actually monitor stats then they are seeing this and choosing to do nothing about it. The plea should not be made to other players but instead to the developers.

    I told Atos about the mismatched drops as soon as I learned about them and suggested it was incorrect. Starr said the drops were normal during the telethon. Starr also said that all the zones were going to be balanced to be like Blood River Outskirts.

    This thread was talking about it and got locked - https://www.shroudoftheavatar.com/f...utskirts-12-an-hour-insane.94354/#post-842013 - because Starr had confirmed it was working as intended - LOL

    Here is the point in the last telethon where Starr says all this.

    I am thinking this could be deliberate, inject gold into the economy. No different to quantativc easing. It works for nations (or doesn't work depending on your POV) for nations, so why not MMOs

    But whilst it exists, you have to go farm yourself else inflation will leave you behind.

    Here are the gold/hour rates that Chris pulled. If it was an intentional quantitative easing, they made it about 40% better than the next best zone.

    Problem Blood River not so much in higher count gold drop, but in possibility to automatize and to multi-account hand-made farm.

    Hmm, at current gold prices 5 to 6 accounts could net you $20 an hour... That wouldn't even need automation.

    That must explain why people suddenly started buying stuff off my vendor again since the telethon.

    I won't go there myself for farming gold, but I'll happily take other people's gold in exchange for merchandise! Capitalism ho!

    I think it would be possible to come up with many solutions for this location.
    Here, for example, one of the simple:
    - increase the number of "elite" mobs with a large drop in 5, spread them evenly on the map, but raise their respawn time is also 5 times.
    (regular players have nothing to lose. But the process of the "industrial" farm would be unprofitable)
