Launcher reports speed slowly increasing over 10 secs from 0 maxing at 170Kb/s (sometimes to 213Kb/s) then dropping back to zero for 10+ secs. This is typical of what I have seen over last 30+ hours. Seems to get slower over time after restart of Launcher. Still on 481 at 81%

I am on a high speed broadband in UK (just tested at 45Mb/s). Not had this problem before on previous patches (after R33)

Between 0-300kb, usually 170kb when I look at it. Maybe for about 4 hours now.

Steam I booted up, grabbed a snack and it was done when I came back.

I followed the advice of others and went through Steam. I guess Port wants us to use Steam

Left overnight activity has slowed. Now sitting at 0Kb/s for 5 - 10 minutes. Then a burst of activty for a few seconds when a block of data is downloaded rising from 0 to 170Kb/s and back to 0 over a few seconds. Then back to waiting.

Currently at 90% after 41 hours on 481.

After restarting the launcher I have had some continuous slow activity. Rising from 60 - 100Kb/s up to a max of 170Kb/s and back to 60 - 100Kb/s over a periodic cycle of about 10 secs. But appears to slow down over time. After 30 mins now dropping back to 0Kb/s again

Can we get a solution from someone in the IT team about that?
It's impossible to update the game, on a 170MB fiber it goes from 0 to 400kb/s.
It remind me modem download, it's a bad joke for a company which raised $10,274,382...

A further 2 hours and not made another 1% yet.

My previous (revised) ETA of 2 days has just been revised again to 3 days. (@Berek Note that this is not hours, this is days of continuous download)

Thank you for this information. Just saved me literally hours of time!

    VIVA Utorrent!

BTW my download rates through launcher were pathetic, even after restarting the client and even restarting my router and computer. 20 kbps is completely unacceptable.

After going through Utorrent, I am downloading the patch at my normal 4.4MBps.

Well I was wrong. With multiple restarts I managed to keep it jogging along and I am now unzipping 481 only 30 mins over 48 hours.

Similar. After about 14 hours now I'm now looking at 61% of downloading patch 480->481.

Frequently drops to 0, back to 170. I have upload enabled but it's always sitting at zero, so it appears I'm not benefitting from the torrent aspect of upload/download here.

Does the Peer to peer listen port matter here?

    Depends on your firewall.
At my office, I had to open a port for the P2P.

I don't think the download depends on that port though.
you can check your port status here: http://portchecker.co/

OK, so a large update. 1.5 hours to unzip & patch. But now on 481 - 482 - at 50% after an hour. This was supposed to be a minor update. Why is the Patcher maxing out at 170Kb/s?

Has the P2P functionality in the launcher failed?

Almost there. 57.5 hours continuous patching. Each of the 'minor' updates taking 2.5 - 3 hours. Is this the pattern going forward?? Some of these intermediate updates can be issued more than once a day.

Just patching on a 45Mb/s broadband connection. The non-Steam option appears broken.

This morning mine was behaving exactly the same as others: Maxing out at 170Kb and barely incrementing. I am not sure how many hours it took to get to 87% for 480-481.

I read everyone's comments about the slow D/L that I could find. I downloaded the installer again from my account page and ran it. I chose "Repair" as SpotD had mentioned. I restarted the download and my last 13% finished up in about 10 minutes with speeds showing up to 3Mb/s.

Thinking that took care of it, I let it run about 12 hours I would guess. I came back to check and it was on 481-482 at 36%. Same thing, max 170Kb/s but not really doing much.
I wondered if the repair thing would work again, so I tried and BAM! finished up the last 64% in less than 10 Minutes. 482-483 completed really fast with no issues.

Hopefully someone else who has tried everything can get this to work also. Good Luck!
