Ferocious Red Spider Stats

I am curious about the Ferocious Red Spiders stats compared to players stats & level. The following stats are what I think contributes to increasing a pets stats. I know the Ferocious Red Spider has a max cap tho I am not exactly sure of when it caps out. If I am wrong or missing something please let me know.

Ferocious Red Spider
- 533 Health
- 544 Focus

I was surprised to see that my spider has more focus than it does health. I also feel the spider is still very week for my stat levels even with the recent pet changes going in the release.

Anyone else wanna share their Ferocious Red Spiders lvl, stats and opinions?

My stats are Taming 100, Summoning 100, Combat Training 97, adv level 80, Concentration 95

The more I look at it, pets just don't seem to scale very well at all. With the amount xp needed, focus drain, high mat cost, and the loss of a neck slot the Taming tree just seems very weak for the investment.

 

Im guessing none of u play a cloth mage with my cloth gear I have 667 focus left after a 305 drain. In my heavy armor im at 330 ish.

Goes back to my point portal wants all good tamers to play a mage class

@Grimbone that loss of a neckspot is bigger than alot of people give credit to it.
20 dex or 5 adl for me.

 

Correct, I am in plate. I am also bludgeon. To switch to Light Armor I would have probably have to drop both Heavy Armor and Bludgeon since my Avatar is built around strength.

I didn't know which way to go at persistence and figure that plate would help damage and dodge while I was attempting to tame an animal.

 

Im just hoping they take a few seconds to think about this, kinda no brainer really.
