It'd be good if the backpack retained the resize when placed as a deco so you could choose the size you wanted, also dyeable would be great.

Call it a haversack. Look up haversack. Medieval versions, modern versions, in between.

They just don't want to look like dorks, I think. Too cool for school.

Aside from looking like an overgrown middle school kid, whats the backpacks actual purpose? It doesn't let you hold more stuff

Ah. I'd use anything except a backpack then. Sheathes and a bedroll, maybe with a waterbag or satchel. Something to say "warrior" and not "middle school".

This is one of the reasons why dividing the back items among archetypes was a bad idea.

I always thought that it would have been cooler to have things appear on a players back depending on how encumbered they are, but I always tend to prefer the immersive approach.

Anyway, 'haversack' is often used to refer to a military satchels or backpack, worn by soldiers; though it refers to other similar types of bags, too.

It lets you set pre-determined shift-click item lists for quick moving without having to shift click every item again.

Also lets you carry more stuff if you get one crafted good \o/

You can now master work them as with all crafted back slot items.

I like the small version too in the OP and dye-able is always a win.

    Yes...
I also think we need to begin drifting into Si-Fi in consideration of our Tesla items arrival and rise to relevance tin our world, "which does fit the same wishes for plate packs" o_O...

"Solid Grey" is such a designer I've been watching for quite a while now, as their works resemble a touch of Star Citizen, and any plate would do well with such exposed rivets design.
I think this #fig-3 style also leans that way, due to it's stylish moon-walking boxy astronaut'ish appeal. A hard-pack shimmer would also provide such effects.
What you've rendered here does touch the appearance of a hard pack design when compared to what's available.

Well for instance Harpoon doesn't wear a backpiece because they all look awkward with what he's wearing, so I'm losing stats. So I came up with things that would look cool on him, and a fighter's backpack was the first. He would look cool with an all black smaller backpack. Think a Shinobi pack or the Haversack. I did a 3 min cut and paste with a pack from Amazon for the mockup for ideas.

Until/if they allow you to hide the back slot ( that would be the next coolest thing... shrink it down, allow it to be dyed.

plate pack: -20% movement speed lol

i also dont wear the current backpack as its so big and bulky, it feels WoW-ish. the other backpacks are worse in this regard (though I like them for deco in my armories).

the quiver is pretty cool tho.

the fighter pack image above, with the 2 swords and bedroll, thats more what id have in mind. goofier things in the game are containers, at least a "gear pack" or "wep pack" is immersive in appearance :)
