As a new guy I have no idea what the main story line is. I've now divested in so many different directions, I don't think I couldfinish the main quest even if I know what it was. This is one of the issues with open world, is identifying the main line can be challenging. So, no deed for me....

Where are you confused? We can always help you out.

Do note, finishing Chapter 1 is going to need a good level Avatar. Each of the 3 banners is easy though.

I always tell new players to sell sell sell stuff that they loot except regs and scrolls. Dont worry about buying stuff til you need it. Find friends to learn recipes from. You can always find someone who is willing to teach what they have. Once you get a good stash of gold then start hoarding. I was skinning and selling hides 100 at a time. Good money there. Find a zone that has equal part humanoid/animal...that way you get a bit of everything to sell off.

I should point out that the banners have nothing to do with the quest that has the lot deed at the end.

True. And prices have come way down on them. I did just sell some for 10k gold each, but it's not very often.

But, row deed prices have come down considerably as well, I think in the 250,000g range.

On the screen right after you login, there is a small cogwheel in the upper right corner of the box with your avatar name. It gives the option of "Reset Quest State":

Has anyone tried this? What does this do exactly?

Does it fully wipe all your quests so that you can start fresh like a completely new player?

Yes. It removes everything, including the Shroud.

I wouldn’t consider using it until the new quest system is in place however. But you can still do it.

You can only do that once, if I recall correctly.

I'm really glad that row lot deeds are now part of the rewards for completing the Avatar quest. Ingame market prices for row lots should continue to go down as a result. Happy too that rents for row placements have been been slashed by half so it's truly affordable now.

For new players coming into the game, a 4 story row house + a 5 story row basement will give you LOTS of space for a very cheap price considering the current rental rates.

It wipes progress from every quest except the initial starter area, as well as any quest items in your inventory.

Yes, me too. It drops the time needed from 66 hours to potentially much lower. Plus you still have all your gold when you finish!
