I don't know when this was implemented (this is the first time I've seen it) but it sure is damn cool.

Yes and the boats look fantastic. You can jump on them and fish from them as well if you are careful to not zone away ;). Eceter is also a great example. I love the Docks there as well. There is a large boat out in the water and I wish we could climb on it and check it out as well, but I was not able to get in it. ;) So I wish for everything to be explore-able in the game one day;)

I noticed them some time ago. Yes, I think they are amazing to see swimming round in the water.

The schooling behavior is pretty sweet too. Reminds me of amberjack.

The first time I saw these fish in Estercove, Kingsport and elsewhere I watched in amazement.
I've been lucky enough in my life to accumulate thousands of hours swimming reefs in the Atlantic, Bahamas, and Caribbean - and the schooling behavior of these fish is very life-like.
    I love 'em !
The next time you're in Kingsport, go for a swim with them.........
This video was taken in Estercove.... Besides the great fish movements, notice how well my shadow is rendered on the sandy bottom.

In my opinion, everything about the waters in SotA is simply first class !
Well done, Port, well done.... ;)

there's been schools of fish for a long time, since even before they changed the water. these are bigger, though, and set a little higher so the fins break the surface sometimes, so easier to notice.

The fish has been there for a very very long time. They used to be close to the first broken bridge in Kingsport way back when there was a chest with oracle heads there.
However like Alley Oop says they did an iteration on them last summer which made them more noticeable and put them in better locations.

I remember filing a bug report almost two years ago that the schools don't conform to the splashy sweet spots for fishing.
So fishing where there is visible fish didn't increase the chances.
I haven't tested that since persistence though - so if someone interested in fishing could test and see if schools yield higher % then that would be appreciated.

I believe it was the North Ravenswood pond that had them first, if I remember right.
