It seems that the fishing leaderboard would be much more useful if it showed the type of fish. This isn't eactly a bug, per-se, but .. a usefulness issue.

Once the data is live specifying a date & time window (Rather than the 1, 7 & 30 days) along with a scene filter would be handy then you could see a real time list whilst fishing during the contests.

the existing pve and pvp leaderboards update once per day. i don't think the fish data is gonna be instant.

Yep, I was under the impression the nightly data push was just the first iteration and live data would come eventually, hence.

This may or may not get pushed until the first patch after launch. There have been some logging issues with the fish names (localization stuff) that might not get resolved until live; if that is the case then I won't be able to populate the leaderboard until the following day meaning it would be delayed slightly.

After some more thought I'm not sure we will be able to update leaderboards more frequently. Due to the way and amount of data we log I have to aggregate it all on a daily basis and put the tallies in long term storage. Doing it more frequently and/or with some sort of rolling window just isn't feasible with my aggregation methods.

Even if we were able to do leaderboards more frequently (I'm still thinking of how to best handle this) it likely wouldn't work for the fishing tourneys as it would not be that fine grained of times as each event does not contain an individual timestamp since it's an aggregated value.

Can I ask why MY name is listed on the OP screenshot (near the bottom)????
I have not opted in to "Show my name in public stats"?

There are now 2 options as they show different data:
    1. public stats API --> option accessed by right clicking your nameplate and toggling "Show name in public stats". This is OFF by default
    2. leaderboard stats --> option accessed by the gear on the leaderboard itself and toggling "enable tracking for leaderboards". This is ON by default
