    it's not a bug that it's not salvageable, but there are a few bugs here.

    there are two assets named "small knife".

    the white-handled one is the ornate one, but does not have ornate in the name. ornate things are crown store items and should not be salvageable, so it's correct that it could not be salvaged, but should not be displaying the salvage text in its pop-over. it's also not currently showing as part of the knife set in the crown store, which suggests to me it got lost in the move from crown vendors to store.

    the other small knife is crafted, with a brown handle. this SHOULD be salvagable, and was listed in the R89 list of salvageble things, but isn't, and doesn't have the salvage text in the popover, and doesn't have an icon in inventory.

    so, verified list of bugs:
    • ornate knife does not have ornate in display name
    • ornate knife has salvage info in pop-up
    • ornate knife no longer part of crown store knife set
    • crafted knife cannot be salvaged
    • crafted knife does not have salvage info in pop-up
    • crafted knife has no inventory icon

    The crafted small knife remained unchanged (though I did fix an icon issue in another ticket, same change list.) The looted small knife is now called White-Handled Knife, and can now be salvaged at a blacksmithing station. CL 213723
