[Fixed] cannot change zoom level

Details: neither pageup/down not scrollwheel will change my zoom level; it is all the way out in town and all the way in on the overworld. this is not a case of random keybindings getting lost: they're both still shown in controls and are not double-assigned to anything else.

This might be linux specific. My zoom level still changes using my mouse wheel. (windows here)

 

once i rebound "toggle first person" to v and cycled through the views, zoom started to work again. however, there's there's a missing visual change when cycling between views if i am zoomed all the way out. if i pageup first, it's clearly over the shoulder, first person, back to third, but if i pagedown over the shoulder does nothing. if i zoom in midway i can see it shifting to over shoulder, but it's not shortening the camera length when it does.

changing scenes did not make me cycle through the views to re-enable zoom again.

quitting and restarting the client did reset it, though. i had to re-rebind v to cycle through them and there must be something special i didn't catch the first time, because now not even toggling through them all is enabling zoom.

Vote #3: Camera zoom is broken in teh linux. Same symptoms.

 

Zoom in and out is not functional on my Mac. Any suggestions to help?

 

Still broken for me on build 987.

 

FYSA, I can zoom in a et ceter crag mines and elysium mines. There's no map for those mine levels. Maybe a key binding is being overwritten for zones with a map? This is confirmed from the first release where this is a problem to QA 987.

 

when i first randomly got it to work (and can't figure out how it sometimes happens), i was in a pot and then a prt, both with a map.

edit: and i cannot zoom in nw blackblade, which does not have a map.
