Fonts

Can we expect refined, artistic fonts in keeping with the runic approach over characters and npc's heads further down the road rather than the basic one we have at the moment?
I am hoping the current one is just an early generic placeholder font.....

 

I found the earlier iteration of the game fonts, looks good doesn't it?
The characters also look amazing, looks like the world objects, npcs and the rest were around half the size or just zoomed out and it looks amazing.
I so hope that they use these fonts.

 

I've been lamenting the font as well, but wasn't sure when the time to really start screaming about it would be.

 

We may see a number of fonts used before the game comes out. Just because one changes doesn't mean it's changed for good, or that something even better might be tried in an upcoming Release.

 

I hope the devs see this, it looks soooo much better and classier! It also seems more fitting for the era being represented.

 

The font looks good I agree. However everyone likes different fonts and it would be nice to be able to change the fonts in the game to make it different. I love the font they use in game for the signs and such, although I have a harder time reading these LOL.

 

Well chances are regardless of the font they choose to use, there will end up being font mods for the game. For example, I used one in Ultima: Lazarus because the default one was a bit difficult to read. I wouldn't be surprised to see some of that created by the community somewhere down the line!

 

I've been dabbling in creating fonts. I can hardly wait to see if other languages appear.
