    Ok, I can understand why the halberds were replaced with low value crappy clubs - it was a very lucrative money spot and clearly this needed to be stamped out. I'm ok with this.

    But after clearing the entire zone twice, I got a total of 4 weapons dropped. This is not cool. If they are going to drop crap, they should at least drop it more often. Most everyone I know is struggling as it is with the cash sinks, losing money when going out to xp due to cost of regs & repair, being forced to go grind boring/easy zones just to make money to afford the basics. Again and again we see this trend with 'new weapons' being added as loot, but the drop rate is like 10%? Less? It was bad enough spending 4 hours to get a total of 5 katanas trying to get a pattern, but now even the trash weaponry drop rate has dried up.

    Guess I'll get a beggar's bowl and go park in Owls

    I totally agree with @kaeshiva ...

    @Chris somehow i think you are ruining the whole fun in the game without noticing. Making mobs harder, lowering loot (its a massive gold sink going on right now), increasing death and equipment decay.
    Some ppl are crying about the player run economy, but is reducing gold and the ability to farm ressources the same time really a good idea ?
    I dont know where the path of sota is going...

    I think the idea is that you get a credit card and head to the Addon store.

    Try Greymark Forest in the vale. Lots of weapons drop there, longswords, staves, wands, kobald weapons, elvish bows, etc it's a decent place to earn some gold.

    I agree with the original poster. I am a casual solo player who has to grind in order to pay taxes with no extra gold laying around. Without the foothills site, I may lose my houses!

    Are there bandits with halberds anywhere in the game now, btw, even higher skull zones?

    No weapon drop on the Thug, only 8 gold. Used to be a Warhammer, which was good loot.

    This Cultist Champion dropped only 16 gold and no weapon or shield.

    The archers drop long bows, which is much better.

    Just to confirm I've checked all three clones of this scene and they've all been "adjusted"
    Even the new "high level" mob spawn are only dropping rusty hammer (Rogue) ..the Swashbucklers, of which there may be 1 or two, have a "chance" to drop a flamberge, which they don't drop more often than they do.
    The rest of the thugs and such in zone drop clubs about 1/10th of the time.

    I think this is a bit of an extreme swing of the bat, when really, changing them to drop 75 (sell for 15ish?) value clubs in stead of 175 value halberds (sell for 40ish?) would have been enough of a nerf.

    Again, as i have offered elsewhere on these boards, I am happy to go zone by zone and evaluate mob drops compared to zone difficulty to try and get this osrted out.

    At the moment, I can kill a 1200 hp mob in a 5 skull zone and get LESS off it than I get killing a 70 hp mob in Soltown Catacombs. This seems wrong to me. Am I alone?

    But you have a 1 in 100 chance of getting something worthwhile when fighting 5 skull enemies.

    Worthwhile, like a flamberge I can vendor for 50 gold? Cause if you mean artifacts, I can tell you the chance is probably more like 1 in 10,000.

    Loot progression is straight up terrible. Assuming you even call it loot progression. It's more of a regression until feast/famine boss drops. I don't understand why its such a difficult thing to just let the mobs keep dropping better stuff as their difficulty increases... all the time and then you keep your artifact drops semi-rare/uncommon from "bosses"...

    When you sell your game as having a economy, you have to either work hard to balance progressive improvements in loot or just set all non boss gold drops to an average value of 25-50g and call it a day.

    So they finally turned off the gold faucet that was Serpent Spine Foothills? Nice, although, I think that scene still needs to be uncloned too, right??
