Founders Taming Creature Call not working

Details: Founder's Taming Creature Call (Chest Mimic) necklace was loaned to me and it will no longer summon the mimic, it worked last night, now I only get "your call was unanswered" I also can not trade it and give it back to the original owner.
Steps to Reproduce: I have tried to summon the mimic numerous times and get the same response every single time. I have restarted my client and my entire computer three times. I have also tried to trade the necklace back to its owner two times, and I tried to put it into the original owners chest in an effort to return it.

@Hildegarde, if the mimic was killed, you'll need to cast rez pet to restore it. because this is a pledge reward, there's no time limit to do that, unlike for normal pets, so you have time to acquire the skill if you don't have it.

 

Do I need to be near it...because he probably died in a siege if that is what happened? That could be a serious problem.
