Free mouse look

Remove having to holding right mouse button to look around, is this somewhere in options?

If the goal is attracting ESO players to a smaller MMO, they follow the Elder Scrolls convention of free mouse look so this is the wrong default. People are long trained by MMOs to use hotkeys, we don't need to be in mouse mode for that.

 

It's already in there. The default key for it is tab.

Options > Controls > Toggle Cursor

 

That is a pretty poor choice of option names. I thought that meant the key for toggling the cursor for tab targeting.

 

agreed. i've been wondering what that box did.

 

Voted mouse look holding right button even though I use free look. Honestly, the only reason I use free look is to avoid repetitive stress injury, but there are bugs with the hot keys and the hotbar. For new players, I believe the deck system is easier to get used to with the mouse.

 

What are the free look bugs?

 

For me, tab has been the toggle for the mouse cursor since I began playing (a few months post persistence). Interestingly, w/ r40, this was changed and tab became the default for changing targets; I changed it back.

I don't know how many this affected; I play on Mac OS.

 

Happened to me too. I panicked, but I was relieved when I eventually found out that I could still map it. Set it back to Tab as well. Changed my Target Changer to ~ for now.
