Free Sir Patrick

I have feed him 7 times now but the quest does not update....

 

Did you actually click on him and speak to him?

 

i talked to @Xsarec on discord. he did follow patrick to an exit and talk to him.

I can tell you how I think it bugged out. I went to free him killed the quard got the key and let him out, then I went up to the commander and he said to do a trial in the arena so I did and when done he said you can free him but he was already freed and gone so I logged out and back in and he was back in cage so I freed him again and again and it was stuck.

It is still stuck in my quest log and the key for the cell is in my inventory but I cannot delete it.

 

When you unlocked the gate to free him, you didn’t speak to him, correct?

I believe to advance the quest, you have to actually click on him and speak to him.

Edit: Just finished this fine on QA.

Do the arena battle. Speak to cage guard, receive key. Unlock cage. New task Speak with Sir Patrick! is received. Actually clicking on him and speaking to him advances the quest.

 

OK the possible reason this quest is confusing for some people is, after they unlock the cage, Sir Patrick runs out of the cage.

He probably *should* stay in the cage UNTIL the player speaks to them, then after speaking to him he then runs out of the area. That would possibly fix the confusion some people have when they get to this point of the quest.

You may or many not(?) have a function that can do that though. I don't know. Just a suggestion.
