frustrating

    its what, day two into launch and i am already losing interest into the game. i have soloed a handful of trolls, killed 2000 skeletons. about the same wolfs/bears its all the same. the problem is there is nothing to keep my attention(and no i dont have ADHD). i go to shardfalls nobody there and really no reason for anybody to go there. i go full pvp hardly run into anybody pvp. no reds vs blues no faction wars..... WTF i have explored a lot of the world and killed as many npc as i care to.. the only thing that will make me stick around is meaningful player to player combat.....I just cant kill another damn skeleton.

    Try some quests, pick up a hammer, join a guild, attend a party, go shopping, Explore with the nearby player option on and hit up some conversations with those on the list, ask them if they like a hunting partner until you find someone interested. Good place to do this is stand outside central brittany.

    GO to blood bay when the houses are being dropped, pvp is abundant there at those times now.

    If meaningful player interactions are important to you then the best solution for you is to think of ideas for bringing more people! This thread isn't helping your case at all. Why not host an event of some kind? Maybe something that even a new player could participate in. Or open a casino!

    I guess. Still basically the same thing, you want to encounter more people to PvP with, except now you want more PvP based systems and functionality besides sandbox free for all.

    The title of the thread is "frustrated" and your post is pretty low effort, so now I'm frustrated too lol. Re-write it to ask for capture the flag and I would be glad you did. We really need it. They could also make the team sizes to match up with however many people can fit comfortably into a zone these days, so it really should be on the top of the to-do list IMO. Makes sense to me anyways.

    Edit* Maybe you could host a PvP turny. I'll show up bro.

    I agree with the lack of incentive... there is pvp sure in blood bay... I sneaked around and watched a bit of it, but its a senseless arena pvp with no goal except bragging rights and ransom. Sorry but its immature and shallow.

    Why did we bother to develop those scenes, those systems if we're not going to give them some love ?

    I understand there are limited devs and time, but SOMETHING.

    I was extreemly happy on launch day to see soo much pvp players coming back, there actually was people in open pvp towns I visited, they were nice and we didn't fight, but they were there.

    I felt like hey they are giving portalarium a second chance right now... and it was pretty obvious people would come back on launch to try it again.

    But then you go at the Quel shardfall and learn there are no ressources to compete over, nothing.

    I mean I know we're not blizzard here, but common... I had to force my guildies to go to the new shardfall because they are already so used to them being a total waste of time... well in the end I looked like some finished fan who didn't learn his lesson.

    I was standing there speechless at the the beautiful scene that is indeed a work of art, and then... no content, monsters so easy we didn't even feel them... only the lightning bolts attempting to push us off a cliff and steal our precious xp, figuratively speaking.

    I personally enjoyed my visit, I was happy... but most people are more difficult to please, there must be beauty yes, but also content and functionality.

    Sorry you are frustrated, but yet I do agree that to get features you want in the game a title like frustrated does not help the cause for PvP enticing. Giving the pvp players of this game that incentive has been very elusive from what I hear. Come on guys I bet now is a better time to voice those pvp ideas that will draw players to pvp. And please don't say xp rewards. I might scream oops or get a grip. ;). In a way we are like a blank canvas to improve upon many of the bare bones systems we unfortunately still have in the game and I so agree with what someone said on another thread that the devs should stop adding more, more, more and trying to get to better, lets finish the systems we have like getting pvp events, quests, bounty hunting, events that start at a regular interval that call pvp players together to compete.

    I know we do have player ran awesome events too but game rewards for things are very enticing. How about a character that appears that starts the event? We are missing some basics in our systems. What about factions and collections for pvp and other systems as well. Players need goals and task not just quests but reasons to do things besides think them up themselves always. Game events are also important imo. So just rolling out some ideas but now is the time guys. Lets get our pvp, fishing, agriculture, crafting etc to a more completed state please @Devs @DarkStarr soon.

    I heard there is going to be more gameplay content for the sandbox starting Q2. This is merely a foundation to build on.

    well my true wish is for what is best for the game. Happy pvpers is one thing that is important to players so I wish it for this game very much. ;)

    We are all most likely aware of this fact... but launch is launch, they say we need funds well wake up.

    A second chance to charm those players, it does not come around for many studios.

    Rogue players need a reason to sneak around and try to get their share with their skills, pirates need a reason... well ok pirates don't need a reason but you get the idea ! There must be something at a bare minimum that is unique to those pvp scenes so that people can organically be attracted to them.

    The elves might be more attracted to scenes with silver and light gems... you see where I'm going ?

    Some guilds need a reason to want to actually claim ownership of some scenes, thus for smaller guilds it becomes a fun challenge to attempt to dethrone them, even if only temporary.

    It has to have a little something for everyone...

    well today... some avatars are killing each other in various scenes... according to a Discord Bot that shows PvP activity in the game... go find them and KILL KILL KILL... or DIE DIE DIE... whichever you prefer... LOL

    i'm asking for an overworld map ALWAYS MULTI PLAYER from the first day of this game.

    how to have "interactions" if all players are in private mode?

    Gatsu... all pvp scenes force you into multiplayer for a while now :p

    That is not the problem at all.

    As I said, Portalarium built all those systems on purpose, they know whats up... but what I'm unsure now is what is actually their ideal and inspiration.

    It seems very clear when you watch the launch trailer.

    And yet...
