    They said they were going to replace it and use this old one as a back up only. Still this really sucks, since it's now happened 2 sundays in a row and most people only have significant spare times on the weekends...

    Nobody knows, a normal company would have had monitoring going on and receiving notifications of it being down. Who knows if they are using any kind of monitoring :)

    Support and response time is another concern that exacerbates this downtime issue (whether switch related or otherwise).

    We have not been playing the game long now, and are only recently official members yet this has happened multiple times in that short span.

    If they are managing their network themselves, then they should have a notification system. I get that life is life and you cannot be on call 24/7 over a video game unless that is your specific task or part of your job/duty.
    And if they've outsourced any of their support, then it is hopefully 24/7 coverage.

    I understand it is a small business of sorts, though pretty certain the backers whom spent exorbitant amounts of real money to invest, would at least like a stable support system.

    Apologies, I work in IT and the amount of support that could be vastly increased with the most basic improvements is astounding to the results it can provide.
    Fortunately, I am enjoying the Connor vs McGregor fight, so my alternative option for entertainment while the game is down, is far better than Lace doing more painting.

    don't they have alarms letting them know when there is an issue? it's support basics 101.... and some kind of "we are aware of an issue and are currently working on it..." alert message.

    Same here, part of my job it to write and send those messages to our company. It's helpful and goes a long way toward good service and helps with customer understanding and buy in.

    Yolo, they probably have some sort of system and in their defense, that switch that is busted might not be sending notifications, or the route for the notification delivery is configured wrongly or... maybe it is as we fear, that the support is not out sourced and is only managed by them.

    So if dragon lady, Richard, Chris, DJ Starr and the others are out having breakfast together and arguing over why not to tip strippers like a scene from Reservoir Dogs, and the notification isn't working... then we might be waiting a while.

    Hell maybe they are like me and all rock old Nokia 5110s, for all their staying power and glory, had bad text message systems.

    even so, there should be several points of watching for outages, this forum included and a simple message of "we are aware.." gives and assurance to us all. I really enjoy my Sunday morning jaunt around SOTA, and I don't want to eye Fallout any more then I am....
    I love this game, just want a bit more communication around outages- they happen, we all know this...
