Glyphs Served Faster With Auto Attack On

I notice a difference in the speed at which glyphs are served with auto attack on. When auto attack is off glpyhs are served much slower, often with a longer pause between glyphs.

I asked another player to try this themselves and they noticed the same thing. Not sure if this is as intended, but not read about it anywhere and it would seem odd to be by design so I am bugging it.
