    If you see this as a real community and not just a game, farewell messages are good and I think should be expected. I would rather people not disappear without knowing what happened to them. Sir Cabirus has been around since about Kickstarter, so everyone knows him.

    There are a lot of people who left who didn't post farewells on the forums, and I occasionally am talking to people who ask me, What happened to that guy? Sometimes I know, other times I don't.

    And if people do have reasons for leaving, I also like to hear their concerns. Sir Cabirus chose not to, though, because most people around here probably know.

    No reason to view a farewell cynically.

    I only know Sir Cabirus through his posts on the forum, he was among those that helped SotA reach its goal during the early Kickstarter phase.

    If you’ve read any posts @Sir Cabirus has made over the years you’d see he’s not an attention seeker. This thread even shows it. It was short and to the point with no temper tantrum or mic drop attempt.

    I for one appreciate seeing a quick /wave bye instead of a vanishing act. Specially in the case of someone that takes the time to post with as much respect as Sir Cabirus.

    Unfortunately it looks like they haven't been able to pull together the story / questing side of SOTA given all the jira items for multiplayer stuff. Very sad.
