Thanks Ronan, will look into it.
password reset now working for me.
Awesome. You can now also upload devices made outside of Blazonforge as of version 0.5.11. (Added last night.)
I was trying to recreate the College of Arms devices using other charges in the quarterly fields. There is no chief ordinary so I used a pale and moved it up top and made it large. At that point I used a fur pattern on the now faked chief. All was well until I tried to put charges on the shield. The charges will not place anywhere on the shield.
Not sure why
correction...used a fess to cheat for the chief.
Yes, it is meant that way, as a chief basically is a Fess In Chief, and a base is a Fess In Base (and a Fess is well, a Fess in Fess, LOL).
Anyway, will look into the problem you described. Thanks for the error report! (Quick tip: you can report errors directly from within the BlazonForge as they occur using the Help button on the bottom left, click that, then click the Contact link.)
Sweet about error reporting. I'll do that next time I break something
Could do maybe to change the label on Fess to something like "Chief / Fess / Base".
Just noticed that link to change logs was outdated in original post. Fixed this now. Sorry for the inconvenience.
V0.5.13 is released. It is more of a back-end update. I added in access control and authentication checks throughout BlazonForge. This is in preparation for more advanced functionality for the college, as well as helping to secure the site. Please let me know if you have any problems accessing certain areas. If you hit any access warnings that you don't think should be there, or that are popping up in error, please let me know.
There are currently some issues with the registration process that will cause errors. We are aware and am working to get this remedied ASAP. If not tonight, then tomorrow.
OK, I think things are back in working order now. That should teach me to rely on 3rd-party packages ...
Anyway, today we mades a big jump from version 0.5.13 to 0.5.18, squishing bugs and kicking ass. Well, just adding a few small features in addition to fixing some bugs. There is one new notable item:
- you can now set your Avatar to be publicly listed in the Avatars directory, if you want.
- other minter features were added and tweaked to allow the College of Arms to work with your profile to create devices.
- device registration and approval process
- successfully registered devices will receive the CoA Seal
- a public list of registered devices will be made available
Great work, awesome to see how far this has come. Everything seems to be coming together well and I'am more impressed with every update. I do have a question as well.....any update on the ability to counterchange charges? Obviously I'am partial too this, as I'm trying to recreate my arms.
*ties High Baron O'Sullivan up and tosses him on the slow boat to china*
Patience you countercharged fanatic!
ahahaha .... the foolish upstart! what was he thinking? ;-P
In all seriousness, countercharging is moving higher up on the list. But pattern rotation MUST be working first. It will help pave the way for countercharging. After all the hoopla with the last 15 updates or so, I'm moving back to getting patterns to rotate and have a plan of action. Hope to implement it over the next few days.
Hi, Grant! I registered an account last night, but I am unable to save my coat of arms because it says I don't have permission I see from your earlier post that you are aware of this problem. I am looking forward to the upcoming functionality with regards to device registration and approval process Great work you are doing!
Sorry, I've tried to restrain myself.
Gabriel, can you try now? Thanks for bringing that up ... there were a few logic errors I found, and squished a few other bugs along the way, as well. v0.5.21 should have that fixed for you.
Works fine now! Thanks, Grant
