Posted v0.4.2 with many more common Ordinaires. :) Will be adding the more complex ordinaires over time, but first need to update other areas of the generator to allow for that. Please let me know if there are any other Ordinaires that I missed, that don't rely on the size or shape of the Escutcheon.

Just added 8 more simple ordinaires that I found. :) Bringing the total to 19 so far.

Loving the generator!! Are there plans to add the ability to have more than one ordinary on the arms and variations on them overall (like enarched or embattled, etc)?

I just knew that question would pop up! :) Not yet, but I may consider it if needed. Were you looking for a specific combination?

Chief and Base would be the only common combination that I can think of.
    Or Canton and Base.

Added ChiefAndBase ... CantonAndBase won't work as desired just yet. Will work on that. This will most likely end up being the functionality to add any combination you like (it being heraldically valid is an entirely different story). Will work on that this evening.

That Base is with the slider all the way to the right, Grant.

Nice! Yea :) I added a known issue to the change log, in that some Ordinaires don't work well with all shield shapes. This will be fixed.

Question on your device: is the green a Base Ordinaire, or a green Meadow charge? I know in the generator you used an ordinaire, but how would you blazon you device?

Sorry about BlazonForge not loading for the past few minutes. Fixed the bug now. Rufus, check the slider again for the base, I adjusted it.

For the first part, yes: I will be updating the ordinaires to allow for combinations.
For the second part, right now stylized ordinaires are planned, but not sure when they will be in place yet. Divisions will fall under this functionality as well, in that their borders can by stylized. I might start work on this once some other quirks are worked out first.

    Grant,
When using the chevron ordinary and increasing the size of the ordinary, the center point of the chevron moves up the shield. Shows best if you have a gyronny for the field. Just does not look right. The center point of the chevron should be in the same spot as the center point for the gyronny.

Hi Ronan, this is actually an optical illusion. While the center point of the chevron is exactly on the center point of the shield and the divisions, it appears to "sink" because there is much more area of the chevron under the fess line, than above it. :)

    Grant, you move quick!
We have a few people using piles, when you get a chance.

    Thank you!

    Thanks Frank! :)

Piles are unfortunately dependent on Escutcheon size and placement, and are a ways off still. But I do have them in mind, along with Flanges, and other similar items.

Sorry that progress has been quiet on this for the last two weeks, but unfortunately I have a project that has been taking up all my time at the moment. Nevertheless, I have been preparing for future functionality improvements. Today with 0.4.4 we are laying the groundwork:

    • Moved to a better host and server setup.
    • Migrated to Laravel framework.
This will allow us to add the following functionality in the very near future:
    • User registration and login, providing user profiles and the ability to save multiple devices to your profile.
    • Short URLs to link to your devices to plaster the internet with them. :)
    • (and more that Idon't want to discuss just yet until I have worked out all the details)
Of course I will also continue work on integrating charges that are being pumped out of the College of Arms at a steady clip, as well as continue the improvement and addition of features to the generator itself.

    Enjoy!

    ~Toodles

Fresh update: v0.5.2 is now live, the 0.5.x series adds user registration and the ability to save devices to your profile. Public profiles coming ASAP, which will allow you to share your Coat of Arms with others.

Hi. I'm really enjoying the generator. I confess I haven't read all 9 pages here yet, and I'm wondering if there's a way to remove a charge once added, without having to start over. I've been trying and haven't figured out if there's a way. (left my brain on the kitchen counter this morning) :)

The charges can stack up. If you select the top one and hit delete (and I think backspace works too), the charge should go.
It can be hard to fish for corners to select charges that are underneath other things.
