    Title:
Graphical glitches in Ardoris (Ubuntu, build 372)

    Reproduction Rate:
    Always

    Blocker?
    No

    Details:
There are serious graphical glitches in Ardoris, when facing a certain direction (roughly the direction of the Palace of the Mountain), namely, there is a black horizontal plane roughly at the level of the bridge, which is visible when facing the Palace of the mountain at a certain angle (the sector is about 90 degrees wide, see screenshots).

Adjusting the video options has no effect to this, neither does restarting the client / reloading the scene / exiting and revisiting the scene.

The screenshots inside the spoiler help understand the issue, all taken near the Palace of the Mountain Bridge:
In these screenshots, the avatar location is (-82.7, 59.3, -113.1) in Ardoris.
Only the camera angle changes. The client resolution is adjusted to make slightly smaller screenshots.

Looking down 2 (camera is just slightly lowered in comparison to previous pic)

Looking from behind, camera is roughly at avatar level (you can see where the black plane is)

    Steps to reproduce:
    1. Go to Ardoris, face the Palace of the Mountain
    2. Pan the camera, observe the graphical glitches.

After a few client restarts / scene reloads, I have not been able to replicate the issue any more, I'll report back if I get to know more about it.

@Attenwood, this happened again in build 373, this time in Soltown:

    SotA.EarlyAccess.Linux.64.373.Date.07.17.16
    Area: Novia_R1_City_Soltown
    Loc: (53.5, 25.8, 110.0)

These screenshots show better how there's a black horizontal plane that kind of divides the world into upper and lower half. Similar to the OP, happens only when facing a certain direction (in this case, about 90 degrees wide sector roughly in between South and West)

Edit: Also, this does not happen in every area, in Soltown it started to happen when walking to said location (53.5, 25.8, 110.0), but there are no glitches when walking back to loc (63.0, 26.9, 118.8) which is slighly closer to the refugee camp.

This appears to be somehow connected to the deformed guard skins, see screenshot taken in Soltown (taken in night vision mode to improve visibility)

Still not sure what exactly triggers this, can't figure out a consistent pattern. However since it seems to be linked to the guards, addressing that issue will possibly also address this one.
